This specification relates to Capacitors, Fixed, Ceramic Dielectric, High Permittivity Types. The specification is primarily intended for components for use in Service equipment, but other users are invited to adopt it if they so desire.

Characteristics such as temperature coefficient, capacitance or power factor of these capacitors may vary under different conditions of temperature or applied voltage, often in a non-linear manner. In general such characteristics are only met with in dielectrics where the permittivity is above 250.
