INTRODUCTION

The object of this chapter is to lay down rules to be followed by the Manufacturer when preparing Master Servicing Recommendations. This list shows the manufacturer's responsibility towards the recommended servicing operations. These operations must be defined in both quality and quantity taking into account the maintainability requirements of the Users and after consultation with the Users.

It is particularly helpful to the User, who can refer for details of complex operations to the corresponding servicing manual. In addition it can assist supervisory staff when provisioning spares.

The Master Servicing Recommendation (M.S.R.) must include:-

All routine and unforeseen servicing operations which must and could be done between two reconditioning servicing periods by the Users on the airframe, engines and equipments. For A and B equipment, the aircraft Manufacturer will establish the M.S.R. from information supplied by the Services when requested.

The recommended periodicity of each routine servicing in calendar time or at a time determined by usage.

The estimated time required for each operation "(in man/hours)" or "(in man hours)".

The maximum period between bay servicing operations and the life of the equipments.

Note...

The M.S.R. will define the servicing operations by their title, but will not state requirements in personnel, servicing equipment, tools or methods.
