This Part of Defence Standard 00-40 provides a general introduction to the means of achieving R&M and details the specific measures to be adopted by MOD sponsors, Project Managers and contractors
The technical and management activities required €or the achievement of R&M depend upon the nature of the materiel being designed, developed and manufactured, and the use to which the materiel will be put when it goes into Service use. ARMP-1 Chapter 3 contains a list of the R&M technical and management tasks from which should be selected those R&M tasks to be included in an invitation to tender (ITT) or contract.
