This Part of the Defence Standard 59-90 series provides guidance and general requirement information on the selection and procurement of Microwave Common Modules which are classified in NATO Class Group 5963.
There are no CECC or BS 9000 Specifications for Microwave Common Modules available at present, although Microwave Integrated Circuits may be qualified to BS 9450, Custom-built Integrated Circuits of Assessed Quality. Defence requirements are to be met by this Defence Standard 59-90 (Part 0) and 59-90 (Part 1) together with a formalized Customer Detail Specification.
NOTE: MOD/ECG are intending to support a European CECC Specification for MCMs as a Process Assessment Schedule (PAS).
