The standard covers the defintions, the conditions and the n ethods of measurement used to ascertain the performance of t ransmitters having audio-frequency bandwidths generally not exceeding 10 KHz for the transmission of voice and other typ es of signals, using single-sideband amplitude modulation wi th full, reduced or suppressed carrier. This standard is int ended to be used in conjunction with Publication 489-1.
