The purpose of this publication is to define and document a suite of TDAs that are available for use by all NATO nations. In addition to this library of available, ready-to-use (i.e., executable) TDAs suitable for use on a standard PC, it is also necessary to provide a library of TDA/TDA model source codes so that individual nations, if they prefer, can build their own TDA packages, but still maintain consistency. All the TDAs described in this publication, except those listed in the tables in Chapter 2, have been reviewed, verified (as fare as possible) and accepted by the Military Committee Meteorological Group (MCMG) Working Group on Battle-area Meteorological Systems and Support (WG-BMSS) before being adopted.
