This standard specifies the preparation of the test piece and the evaluation of the test results. The purpose of this standard is to test positional capability of covered electrodes and tubular cored electrode. Fillet welds can be made in horizontal, vertical up, vertical down and overhead position, as applicable. This standard is applicable to consumables for arc welding of steel.
