This Standard relates to wool melton cloths which are used as ,a component in ammunition and specifies the material, methods of test, and other requirements.
The designation 'Type QX' indicates that the material is of a quality suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, its compatibility with explosives in' all environments has not been established, and Design Authorities should therefore seek advice from:
