This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for one grade of corrosion preventive compound, oil film type, for use in the preservation of metal surfaces. The product is suitable for use in land and marine internal combustion engínes, automotive components, small mechanisms, instruments, certain fuze parts, on sheets of aluminium and phosphated steel, small arms and machine guns including their lubrication when operated at ail ambient temperatures above minus 18°C.
