Whenever people live or work in a close proximity, the possibility of adverse health conditions, e.g., respiratory disease transmission, is magnified. In addition, human comfort during rest or recreation has a direct bearing on morale.
Design plays an important role in eliminating potentially adverse health conditions in existing facilities. Cleanliness contributes to morale and is aesthetically desirable.
