This specification relates to an emulsion paint suitable for application to canvas to provide a matt or near-matt finish.

The dry film is waterproof, flexible and retains it sproperties under arctic and tropical conditions. It does not downgrade the inherent flame-proof properties of the canvas to which it is applied.

The usual painting system for new canvas consists of a sealing coat, prepared by diluting the finishing paint with water in the proportion of two volumes of paint to one of water, followed by a coat of the paint as supplied.

NOTE: The technical requirements of this specification are identical with those of TS 50111 except in respect of infrated reflecting properties.
