This specification covers batteries for use with military equipment where greater performance over a wide temperature range is required. The battery is composed of electrochemical cells of the zinc-potassium hydroxide-manganese dioxide type.
The type designation of alkaline cell dry batteries shall be in the following form:
BA 3232/U Component Battery type number
The battery type number identifies the basic design of the battery (See 3.1) and consists of a four-digit number (in the 3001 thru 3999 series).
