scope:

This Standard relates to semi gloss marking paints in paste form, which are suitable for application t o painted or varnished ammunition and ammunition packages and painted or unpainted packing cases, crates, drums, etc by rubber orgelat in type. The paste is applied to the type face by means of a suitable roller . The paint is expected to provide satisfactory markings which will remain legible over a period of at least ten years under normal storage conditions but may be less if subjected to exterior weathering or adverse (eg high humidity) storage conditions.
