scope:
This specification covers the jackbox (three types), jack, and plug used for sound powered outlets in sound powered telephone circuits.
Jackboxes, jacks and plugs shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2.1).
(a) Type G-15A - Single jackbox (symbol 2841) shall contain one sound power jack type H-25A.
(b) Type G-15B - Double jackbox (symbol 2842) shall contain two sound power jacks type H-25A.
(c) Type G-15C - Four-gang jackbox (symbol 2843) shall contain four sound power jacks type H-25A.
(d) Type H-25A - Sound power jack.
(e) Type H-39A - Sound power plug which shall be provided with sound powered telephones.
