The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to RR-P-586, Sizes 5 and 7.
This description covers solder pots to be used by tradesmen such as plumbers tinners, electricians, machinists, etc. for the melting of solder, babbitt, or lead. The pots are heated by means of open flame as contrasted to the electric pots covered by GGG-P-611.
