This specification establishes the design, performance, and test requirements for the motor thermal protection systems to be used in 60-hertz (Hz) and 400-Hz motors.
The motor protection system consists of multiple thermistors installed in the motors and a monitor located at the motor terminal box.
Monitors and thermistors shall be classified as specified in 3.3.1 and 3.3.2.
