This prestandard defines the test procedures to be used to determine the performance of bar code printing equipment. It also applies to equipment for the printing of other optically readable symbologies such as dot and matrix codes. It considers bar code printing systems as integrated units, from the receipt from a host computer or other device, or direct input, of data and other information to the output of finished bar code symbols.
