This specification covers continuous page facsimile recording sets suitable for recording weather maps, tactical graphic information, and other data such as APT (Automatic Picture Transmission). In addition, the recorder is able to reproduce Meterological Data transmitted over National Weather Service "FOFAX" (or equivalent) network and is suitable for either fixed station (shore) or mobile (ship) operation. In order to provide a more economical recorder, certain features are available on an optional basis. Recorder sizes shall be able to copy nominally 11" and 18" documents.
