Purpose. This handbook provides basic information on the properties and characteristics of aviation fuels along with general information on the standards, equipment, and operating principles related to the handling of these fuels at Navy and Marine Corps activities. This handbook is designed to supplement the Aircraft Refueling NATOPS Manual, NAVAIR 00-80T-109, by providing background information and guidance on the requirements and procedures contained in the NATOPS manual.
