PURPOSE

This Marshall Work Instruction (MWI) establishes the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Fire Safety Program. This program is to protect human life, property and the environment from the risk of fire-related hazards. This MWI implements the basic fire protection requirements as provided by the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the NASA Safety Standard for Fire Protection.

APPLICABILITY

This MWI applies to all facilities and operations owned or controlled by MSFC.
