scope:

This Defence Standard specifies th e requirements for one grade of corrosion preventive, water displacing, whichwhen applied to a m e t a l surface displaces any w a t e r present and forms atransparent protective film. Water separates from the used fluid on standingallowing the fluid to be re-used.

It is intended for treatment of metalsurfaces in use or storage. It can be used on low voltage (up to 250 volts ) electricalequipment and as a rust penetrating fluid .

NOTE: This product must NOT be usedas an insulating material.

Method of Application

Pressure circulation , dipping,brushing and spraying. May be used i n conjunction with supplementary barriermaterials.

Method of Removal

Flushing, brushing, spraying or wipingwith suitable hydrocarbon solvents eg white spirit orkerosene
