This standard provides the minimum requirements for the design, fabrication, pressure rating, marking and testing of pressure containing housings for "Y" Type Strainers for use with pipe conforming to dimensions specified in ANSI B 36.10 and ANSI B 36.19.
Certain standards and specifications are specifically incorporated by reference into this standard. However, it is not considered practical to refer to a dated issue of each standard or specification referenced, and for the purpose of this standard it is intended that the latest revision considered in effect by the issuing authority be used.
