This specification covers the general requirements for flush mounted L-Band antennas within the frequency range of 960 to 1,220 MHz.

Antennas covered by this specification are classified by style, as specified (see 3.1).

The military part number shall consist of the letter M, the basic number of the specification sheet, and an assigned dash number (see 3.1), as shown in the following:
