scope:
- This specification establishes the requirements for hydraulic thermal expansion relief valves of the types and classes specified herein.
- Hydraulic thermal expansion relief valves shall be of the following types:
Single - In accordance with Drawing AN6245
Dual - In accordance with Standard MS28016
- Hydraulic thermal expansion relief valves shall be of the following classes:
Class A - Pressure Range 1,000 to 2,100 psi (cracking pressure)
Class B - Pressure Range 2,100 to 4,100 psi (cracking pressure)
Class AB - Pressure Range 1,000 to 4,100 psi (cracking pressure)
- Hydraulic thermal expansion relief valves shall be furnished in the sizes indicated on the applicable AN drawing or MS standard, as specified.
