scope:

This specification covers aluminum and steel floor gratings other than bar types for shipboard use.

Gratings shall be of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.2):

Type I - Steel, heavy Class 1 - Galvanized Class 2 - Ungalvanized Class 3 - Corrosion resistant Type II - Aluminum, heavy Type III - Steel, light Class 1 - Galvanized Class 2 - Ungalvanized Class 3 - Corrosion resistant Type IV - Aluminum, light
