This INTERIM Standard specifies two types of performance requirements for preservative treatments to protect textiles from microbiological attack.
Type 1
Performance requirements mandatory for all proposed treatments.
Type 2
Performance requirements, in addition to those of Type 1, where the treated textile is either to be coated and/or be adjacent to an alloy or polymer where performance may be impaired by the preservative treatment
