scope:

This specification covers single mechanical stokers installed on packaged boilers fired by coal, coal and gas, coal and oil, or a combination of coal, oil, and gas. The stokers are intended for use in packaged boilers or hot water generators fired by coal, coal and oil, coal and gas, or a combination of coal, oil, and gas.

The stoker will be of one the following styles as specified (see 6.2).

Style A - Spreader stoker with intermittent action grate. Style B - Spreader stoker with traveling or chain grate. Style C - Overfeed stoker with intermittent action grate. Style D - Overfeed stoker with traveling or chain grate. Style E - Underfeed stoker with retort grate. Style F - Fixed grate stoker.
