This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for the packaging of multi-throw and single-cylinder engine crankshafts, with or without associated bearings, to Military Level N (equivalent to NATO Level 3).
It is applicable for both gasoline and diesel engines.
This Standard is not for use with aircraft engines.
