The goal of the Commander, Naval Air Reserve Force's (COMNAVAIRESFOR) civilian awards program is to recognize outstanding individual performance and creativity of civilian personnel. The importance of submitting nominations on outstanding individuals cannot be overemphasized. Besides nominating individuals for the COY award, monitoring and rewarding outstanding civilian contributions throughout the year is also important. Reference (a) provides guidelines for recognizing individual employees and for administering time-off awards.
