This description covers standard and parallel clamp type lathe dogs. The lathe dogs shall be the standard commercial heavy duty quality, which are used in a production environment, and suitable for driving cylindrical work pieces held between machine centers. Parallel clamp type lathe dogs shall be designed to hold hexagonal, square, or irregular shaped workpieces.
intended Use:
The lathe dog shall be used to hold cylindrical type workpieces, on a lathe, when machining work is held between centers.
