EEMUA - PUB NO 168

A Guide to the Pressure Testing of In-Service Pressurised Equipment

inactive
Organization: EEMUA
Publication Date: 1 January 1991
Status: inactive
Page Count: 24
scope:

This document describes and provides guidance on the pressure testing which may be carried out once the service life has begun, at any stage after (but excluding) installation/commissioning.

In some countries it is a statutory obligation to carry out a pressure test on certain equipment at prescribed intervals. This is not the case in the United Kingdom, but the policies applied by EEMUA Member Companies vary considerably. This document does not seek to impose policy but rather to set out the various factors and aspects which determine if, when and how a pressure test may be carried out.
