scope:
- The equipment covered by this specification shall perform the functions of an airborne height finder radar. It shall provide accurate altitude information on airborne targets at long ranges. This equipment shall be used in conjunction with early warning search radar, such as the AN/APS-20B, and combat information center display equipment, such as the AN/APA-56. As such, it shall be designed primarily for installation in WV-2 type aircraft especially adapted for airborne combat information center missions.
