The standard specifies the deflection-limiting volume to be used when testing roll-over and falling-object protective structures in the laboratory. It is related to DS/ISO 3471 concerning roll-over protective structures (ROPS) and to DS/ISO 3449 concerning falling-object protective structures (FOPS). The dimensions of the deflection-limiting volume are adapted to a large driver (see ISO 3411)
