This European Telecommunication Standard (ETS) specifies the Service Specific Connection Oriented Protocol (SSCOP) for the pan-European Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network (B-ISDN) as provided by European public telecommunications operators. This ETS specifies the peer-to-peer protocol for the transfer of information between any pair of SSCOP entities, the interactions between the SSCOP and the ATM Adaption Layer (AAL) common part, and the interactions between the SSCOP and the AAL management plane.
