scope:
Purpose.
To establish Department of the Navy (DON) policy regarding abortions in Navy military treatment facilities (MTFs). This instruction implements reference (a) and Department of Defense (DOD) health care policy provided in references (b) through (f). It replaces the former SECNAVINST 6300.4, reference (g). The Secretary of the Navy (M&RA) has delegated this instruction to the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) to reissue as a BUMED instruction.
