The code is applicable to the calibration laboratories operated by Ministry of Defence establishments when undertaking either of the following tasks:
1.1 Issuing formal calibration documents relating to Ministry of Defence or contractors' equipment.
1.2 Performing calibration tasks directed towards the maintenance of measurement traceability to national standards.
