scope:
The purpose of this standard is to describe a quality measuring system for assessing the quality of cleaning services. This standard describes two main principles: visual inspection and objective measurements. For a specific cleaning job, using one or the other principle, or a mixture of them, may be relevant. The system may be used in several ways: - direct, as quality requirements in connection with performing, ordering and/or providing a cleaning service - as control of the cleaning performance - for assessing the load and/or resoiling of premises - for ascertaining the quality level achieved in relation to the cleaning activity. This standard exclusively describes the use of the system for determining a desired quality and for controlling the cleaning performance. The system may be used for all types of buildings and localities, such as all types of premises in office buildings, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, shopping centres, as well as for shops, production facilities, ships, busses, trains, planes, hotels and restaurants. The indoor climate is highly susceptible to dust. In order to achieve an acceptable indoor climate in premises where the general cleaning quality is not high, it may be relevant to establish special dust requirements. This is done best by using dust measurements. The consumer may define dust measurements as described in Annex D.1 alone or as a supplement to visual inspection. The consumer may define when the measurement is to be performed and which dust level is acceptable in accordance with Table D.1.
