Purpose.
To set guidelines for policy development to support commands with servicewoman with nursing infants per references (a) through (e).
Applicability
This instruction pertains to Navy Medical Department personnel at Navy military treatment facilities (MTFs) and medical activities who provide maternity care services, postpartum care, and/or care for newborn infants in the first year of life to military service members and their infants.
