scope:
This International Standard describes a method for estimating the long-term hydrostatic strength of thermoplastics materials by statistical extrapolation. The method is applicable to all types of thermoplastics pipes at applicable temperatures. This method was developed on the basis of test data from pipe systems. The pipe dimensions to be tested may be specified in the relevant product/system standards and if so, are included in the test report.
