scope:
The design criteria and standards contained within are the
minimums acceptable for Department of the Army and Air Force
installations for efficiency, economy, durability, maintainability,
and reliability of electrical power supply and distribution
systems. Where special conditions and problems are not covered in
this manual, applicable industry standards will be followed.
Modifications or additions to existing systems solely for the
purpose of meeting criteria in this manual will not be authorized.
The criteria and standards herein are not intended to be
retroactively mandatory. The word "will" identifies guidance. The
word "shall" identi- Fies policy and is used when writing legal,
contractual, requirements such as statements of work,
specifications or any other documents that require compliance from
the commercial/industria
