scope:

PURPOSE

This instruction establishes the applicability, procedures, and responsibilities for the Goddard Space Flight Center's (GSFC) Trailer Fire Protection and Safety Program.

APPLICABILITY

This instruction applies to all trailers at the GSFC and its offsite facilities located within 10 miles of the Greenbelt and Wallops main facilities.

This instruction applies to the procurement and/or modification of new and existing trailer(s). However, trailers existing prior to January 1991 shall not be subject to these requirements, provided that they maintain a written implementation plan, approved by user directorate, with GMI compliance no later than January 1996.
