This Defence Standard specifies the general manufacturing, bonding and test requirements for natural rubber buffers which are primarily intended for incorporation in suspension systems fitted to all types of armoured fighting vehicles. These buffers are intended to operate within the approximate temperature range -40°C to +50 oC (Categories A1 to C2 as detailed in Interim Def Stan 00-35).
