scope:
a. The JSC D&PS were established as a means to transfer significant manned space flight experience from current to future programs. Each JSC organization, by proposing technical requirements for consideration as JSC Design and Procedural Standards, should assure that problems related to its area of responsibility are not repeated in future programs.
b. This directive assigns organizational responsibility for administering the JSC D&PS activity, establishes the JSC D&PS Board, and assigns responsibility for preparation and application of standards.
PURPOSE. This directive defines the JSC Design and Procedural Standards (D&PS) activity.
