This specification covers requirements, quality assurance provision and packaging for the manufacture of two types of high explosives designated as Composition B intended for use as main explosive charges in artillery ammunition.
Composition B shall be of the following types and grades as specified (see 6.1):
TYPE I - Flake with Desensitizing Wax GRADE A Having an efflux viscosity value of 7.0 sec (max) GRADE B Having an efflux viscosity value of 17.0 sec (max) TYPE II - Granular with Desensitizing Wax
