scope:

This Standard applies to flexible liquid-tight nonmetallic conduit and fittings in trade sizes 3/8 to 2 intended for use as a raceway for the installation of conductors in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, for nonhazardous locations.

Flexible liquid-tight nonmetallic conduit covered by this Standard has a reasonably smooth interior, is liquid-tight, available in Types A and B constructions, and is provided in a thermoplastic that is recognized for use at a maximum continuous operating temperature of 75°C and a minimum working temperature of -18°C.

Conduit covered by this Standard is suitable for use with associated fittings as follows:

(a) for Type A conduit, fittings identified by the marking specified in Clause 5.2.1(d);

(b) for Type B conduit, standard metal or nonmetallic fittings for use with any standard flexible liquid-tight conduit identified by the marking requirements as specified in Clause 5.2.1 (e), except that standard metal fittings for flexible liquid-tight metal conduit may or may not be identified by such markings.
