This standard establishes the dimensions and characteristics for 50 millimeter by 50 millimeter (2 inch by 2 inch) projection film slides which have been adopted to achieve the highest degree of uniformity and standardization for the Federal Supply System.
This standard classifies projection film slides as to picture size and slide thickness.
Projection film slides shall be typed according to the picture size.
Type I - 35mm film format Type II - Super slide format Type III - 126 film format
Projection film slides shall be classed as to slide thickness.
Class A - Thick slide Class B - Thin slide
