Introduction
This specification defines changes to Multi-Carrier (MC) CDMA (1X and 3X modes) needed to support operation with a core network that uses a version of the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) Mobile Application Part (MAP). This mode of operation is known as MC over GSM MAP, or MC-MAP. Core network protocols, air interface Connection Management (CM) and Mobility Management (MM), and procedures are as defined by 3GPP.
