This NES specifies the requirement and procedure for the preparation of and amendment to Maintenance Documentation and conducting Upkeep Evaluations on Surface Ship equipments authorized for installation by the Sea Systems Controllerate (SSC) and Naval Support Command (NSC).
This NES does not apply to the provision of Maintenance Documentation for the upkeep of Weapons Systems and Equipment - see SSCP 40 Part 2.
