scope:
Purpose. a. This regulation prescribes the policy and procedures for the administration of the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Program. It provides Army policy for the selection, utilization, and administration of Army National Guard of the United States (ARNGUS) and U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) soldiers ordered to active duty pursuant to title 10, United States Code (USC) 12301(d).
Applicability. This regulation applies to ARNGUS and USAR soldiers serving on active duty or full-time National Guard duty in the AGR Program in support of the Reserve Components of the Army, which consists of the U. S. Army Reserve and the Army National Guard of the United States. It also applies to Active Army, ARNGUS, and USAR headquarters, commands, agencies, and units having AGR soldiers assigned or attached. During mobilization, the proponent may modify chapters and policies contained in this regulation.
