This Standard sets out requirements intended to allow carriers to develop and implement an efficient and effective safety management system for the purpose of minimizing the risk of accidents and safety incidents.

This Standard specifies requirements for the implementation of a safety management system for firms engaged in the transportation of goods and/or people on public roadways.
